The architectural scheme of this family home mimics the cascading topography of the area by building in layers up through its cantilevered terraces and roof, to create a contemporary silhouette. These planes extend the indoor space blurring the boundary between interior and exterior, whilst creating shaded areas attuned to the local climate. The windows and doors feature timber shutters to provide privacy and sun shading. The landscaping continues to play on the idea of layering incorporating terraces at different levels and a 14m infinity edge pool from which to experience the view.
Functionality and a refined, modern aesthetic guided the development of the interior layouts. Designed with entertaining in mind the ground floors includes an 80m2 formal lounge, a dining area that accommodates 20 guests, separate office facilities and a 10-metre-long indoor pool. The upper floors include a gym, four 80m2 master suites with private terraces, bathrooms and dressing areas.
